Educational background

I received my Bachelor’s of Science (Honours) with a major in Biological Sciences from Brock University.

My past accomplishments

Prior to joining GEMINI, I was part of a health science research lab where our lab identified and demonstrated a positive relationship between mitochondrial lipids and fat oxidation, and that membrane lipid composition regulates key cellular processes. I also worked with the St. Michael’s Academic Family Health Team to support patient-centred solutions and improve family healthcare services and accessibility for youth, and founded a non-profit organization supporting at-risk and inner-city youth in Toronto.

When I feel most inspired

I feel most inspired when I’m learning new things, solving meaningful challenges, working alongside a diverse team, and contributing to something that makes a real positive difference.
