Educational background

I completed my PhD in Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. I hold an MPH in Epidemiology from Queen’s University and an HBSc in Life Science from the University of Toronto, majoring in Psychology and Human Biology with a minor in Writing & Rhetoric.

My past accomplishments

I am a clinical population health researcher and epidemiologist using linked health systems data to study chronic disease, aging, and variation in health outcomes. My doctoral research examined trends in total knee replacement utilization and postoperative pain recovery across Canada, using clinical and population-level administrative data. I bring over a decade of experience working with large health organizations, including ICES, Public Health Ontario, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information.

When I feel most inspired

I’m most inspired in my professional work when I can steward my gifts to do good for others, driven by a desire to see a healthier society that cares for its most vulnerable.

A few of my favourite things

Playing basketball, doing calisthenics and kettlebell training, learning Portuguese, and spending time with family.
